Listing Rules
Carlos Andres Duenas has volunteered since November 2024 to keep this site updated, working with site owner Reuven Freuman and product designer Isabella Wang to make it pretty and easy to use and maintain.
The purpose of NewYorkTango.com is to provide a reference tool for dancers, students, and tango enthusiasts in the Tri-State Area. This site is not for advertising and it is not comprehensive.
Organizers and instructors are responsible for promoting their own classes and events. These guidelines may change as the team finds the best way to keep the site going.
The NewYorkTango.com team reserves the right to refuse or remove any listing at their own discretion.

Only these fields will be listed
- Name of the event
- Venue name and address
- Start and end time
- Class time, if applicable
- Performance will be added if applicable
- Live music will be added if applicable
- Up to 3 links, such as a website, Instagram or Facebook page/group
Reminders
- Only hosts can make requests.
- Send clear requests to info@newyorktango.com.
- Use text that can be copied and pasted.
- Please, do not send attachments.
- All listing details may be simplified at the editor's sole discretion for length.
Special listings
- Galas, anniversaries, theme-based milongas, birthdays, and special events will not be listed as such. Essentials will be displayed only.
- One-off events will only be listed if the team is informed at least 3 weeks in advance.
Main page
Priority will be given to listed events that need to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Milongas will be listed if they last at least 3 hours. Practicas will be listed if they last at least 1.5 hours, independent of the class that precedes them.

As of Sept 14th, the New York Calendar Team is working to bring back workshops and visiting instructors in a manageable way.
